Blog / A march wedding at Sturmer Hall
At the end of March I had the pleasure of photographing another wedding at the wonderful Sturmer Hall on the Suffolk/Essex borders. It was the worst weather in March for 40 years, with freezing temperatures and snow. Not quite the spring wedding that the lovely couple had been picturing, but I really don’t think it dampened the day in any way at all. The snow didn’t fall until the evening, and the brides family, a lot of whom were visiting England for the first time from South America, hadn’t seen snow before, so that must have been an amazing experience for them! The bride was stunning in her fitted, beautifully detailed dress with black sash, and the flowers by Fiona’s in Haverhill were so very pretty. I was just at the wedding for a few hours over the ceremony and meal, but I’m sure they had an amazing party in the evening, and they certainly seemed to have a fabulous day as far as I could see.
It really was a wonderful day, a fabulous mix of two families from different cultures coming together, lots of laughter and tonnes of love. It really was a pleasure to be a part of it. xx
