Blog / red dress and tea cups

well, there’s no stopping me is there!  I’ve just finished some wedding processing so for a little mid-wedding break I thought I’d just update on here with a great portrait shoot I did a few weeks ago.

I’d seen Clare’s Vintage Tea Party on facebook, I love vintage (but don’t have enough in my life, I need more!) and I really love the trend for vintage wedding’s.  I wanted to combine shooting interesting portraits for my editorial side of work, as well as meeting interesting suppliers.  Clare very, very kindly let me into her home to do a shoot with her.  I must say I was hugely excited turning up, what a truly beautiful home she has.  We had a great morning, Clare was so patient with me and allowed me to shoot away to my heart’s content.  We got some great shots and some lovely still lives of her beautiful vintage china, glass wear and cutlery.  There was far too much to choose from and sadly some got missed out of the shoot, next time!!

To top it all off, Clare was an absolute star and as we chatted and I mentioned loving different mis-matching plates, so delved into her collection and found some out for me to take home!  And I must say my crumpets this morning tasted all the better for a pretty place to rest on!

I’ve since bought a beautiful bespoke cake stand from Clare (again, she was super generous with me, a very kind lady indeed!) which my Mum absolutely loves (great idea for birthday/anniversary gift!)

So here are some pics, I hope you like.  Leave me a comment if you can, click onto the speech bubble at the top.
