Blog / Intimate Cambridge wedding photography | Shire Hall
This was a wonderful intimate secret wedding at Shire Hall in Cambridge in March this year. We were so lucky with the weather, after a crazy year so far with snow and tropical temperatures seemingly on a weekly basis, thankfully we go a hot spell! Ema and Adam chose to have a small wedding with immediate family and friends, keeping the day a secret from everyone else. They have a party planned later in the summer, so a larger celebration will be taking place then. Twice the celebrating, and I can definitely see the appeal!
I was with the couple for only 2 hours, capturing the ceremony and some shots in the lovely grounds of Shire Hall in Cambridge. I really do love these small intimate weddings, there is such excitement in the air and a sense of real joy for the couple. After the lovely ceremony we headed out to capture some natural and relaxed group shots, followed by some couples portraits.
I then followed the couple in their vintage Ford back to the lovely Red Lion at Horseheath. Here they had some drinks in the glorious sunshine while I photographed some natural moments as friends and family chatted and laughed. ANd then I was off, leaving the party to have a delicious meal and continue the celebrations. A really fabulous, happy and joyful day to be a part of. Thank you Ema and Adam for having me with you.
