Can we meet you?
Yes I love to meet up with potential clients. I think it’s really important to have a chat to see if we could be a good fit for each other. If we can’t meet, then a good old chin wag on the phone or over Skype will be fab.
When do you need payment by?
I ask for full payment 4 weeks prior to the wedding date. If you want to pay in installments I’m happy for you to do so. I’ll get in touch in good time with an invoice for you.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes I ask for a deposit of £250 for full day weddings (negotiable for shorter days) plus a signed contract to secure your date.
Do we have to do group shots?
Not at all, it’s your day and I’m there to capture what you want. I always say that it is good to do some (I suggest no more than 8-10), as how often do you have all of these people together at one time? I do aim to photograph everyone at the wedding, but I can’t guarantee I’ll get specific groupings naturally, as they may just not all be together at the same time, so a group shot list is a great way to keep it simple, concise, We’ll do it fast and fun, so no painful hanging around and you can quickly get back to the party!
Will you be bossy?
No! BUT I will take charge of things like the group shots and the timings. I’ll be cheerful but organised!
Do we have to provide you with food?
I am flexible on this. If you can, then some food provided would be appreciated. But equally, as long as you let me know either way, I’m more than happy to bring something for myself. I usually plan to sit down, back up the photographs taken so far, and have something to eat and drink while you eat your meal, so just let me know what your plans are and that will be great.


What happens if you are ill?
Thankfully this has never happened, but obviously there is always the worry of this. I have a great network of wonderful photographers who I would call upon if anything were to happen. Hopefully there would be someone who you would be happy to have replace me. I would do my upmost to sort this out for you, and we can discuss this in further detail if needs be.
How long until we get the images?
Usually within 2-4 weeks. I provide your images on a USB, and I suggest you back them up on a computer, cloud and/or external hard drive as soon as possible.
Are you insured?
Yes absolutely, I have full insurance including public liability.
Do you re-touch the images?
If there is anything really obvious I’ll rectify it for you, but in my shooting and editing I make sure the framing, colours and exposures are perfect.
We hate having our photos taken, help us!
Funnily enough most couples and families who contact me feel this way, and I like to think that it’s because of my natural style that when they find me, they get in touch. My style is relaxed, unobtrusive and natural, and my aim is that you’ll feel comfortable having me with you. I won’t be in your face, but I’ll be a friendly presence on the day.
During your wedding or family session, I will guide you, but then take a step back. It’s about you experiencing the day or the session, and with you relaxed and calm, I will capture the honest, magical moments for you. We’ll have a few giggles, I’ll be on your side, I’ll absolutely listen if you just want to get back to the party or if ideas and plans change on the day, and I’ll be there to help you. I’ll capture it all for you, I’ll advise you but it’s your day, and that’s what it’s all about after all!
