Blog / Copper toned rustic fun wedding photography | Moreves Barn, Suffolk
Kate and Mat are pretty special. Their copper toned, rustic and fun wedding at Moreves Barn was so wonderful. Up there with my faves if I’m honest.
Kate got ready at the stunning Suffolk Escapes, staying in a glorious log cabin overlooking the lake. It really was a wonderful to gather friends and family to get ready on the big day. And Mat didn’t miss out either, he got ready across the lake in another cabin too.
The stunning wedding venue was the wonderful Moreves Barn. I’d not worked here before, but boy I hope to work here again! (please!) Moreves is a 1600’s timber-framed barn with hand-crafted oak features. Lovingly restored by it’s owners, it’s that lovely combination of great space, practical areas and beautiful surroundings. A real gem of a place, if you are looking for a wedding venue in Suffolk, close to Ipswich and the North Essex border too, this really is a wonderful place to check out.
Kate wore a beautiful wedding dress by Justin Alexander, and her bridesmaids wore an array of gorgeous copper tones which complimented the autumnal colours outside perfectly.
Florist Samantha of Wild Poppies created incredible pieces for the whole wedding. Beautiful button holes, flower crowns and of course an incredible waterfall bouquet. At the venue, a magnificent fern canopy was installed above the dining tables. Festooned with fairy lights it created an incredible forest atmosphere, such a beautiful idea.
After the wonderful ceremony in the mezzanine area of the barn, the very happy couple walked out and down the outside staircase to greet their guests. We utilized the lovely autumn weather with some fun group photographs, and some lovely couples shots by the lake.
After the meal and speeches the party well and truly started. The rain didn’t affect us heading out for some sneaky shots with Mat’s beloved car, and then it was back to the dancing! Everyone was having such a fabulous time. I love it when a couple genuinely enjoy their dance and then just carry on partying! The empty picture frames made a wonderful impromptu photo booth…once one person had grabbed me to take a photo, I was there catching everyone who came along. Such a nice way to get some fun evening shots.
Such a great wedding. I love this couple and love the venue Moreves Barn. Congratulations Kate and Mat, what a great day! xx
We were delighted to receive the package you’d so carefully put together for us. The photos are amazing! You really did capture the details and have provided us with wonderful memories.
With so many to choose from, it’s going to be very hard to select photos for our album. We will definitely be in touch to arrange this.
Thanks once again and very best wishes,
