Blog / 1st Birthday Shoot | Natural family photography Cambridge

I was booked for this 1st birthday shoot, creating natural family photography in Cambridge this summer.  It was such a lovely family lifestyle session.  2 hours within the family home, and in the garden.  On my drive into central Cambridge, the sun was shining and it was a glorious June day.  Obviously as I arrived the heavens opened and the rain came down!!  But this didn’t dampen the spirits.  This is what’s so great about a lifestyle session.  We are not tied to one option only, and children are so happy in their home environment that if it rains we can look at books and play with favorite toys.  I can capture the real moments of family life that you’ll cherish.

We had presents being opened, books being looked at, and of course a birthday cake.  Then when the rain cleared we headed to the garden, before heading back in to play in the bedroom and have more fun.

I capture moments that seem the norm, but the reality is that children grow so fast, things change at immense speed.  To be able to look back on little moments like this, captured with heart, is such a very special gift.
